Aero8 prototype competition debut.
The Aero8 unveiled at the Geneva Motor show back in March has made it's way around all of the dealers over the summer, attending more tea parties than the Queen herself. Here at Hartlebury Garage we knew that what it really wanted to do was to go racing, so the factory were persuaded to let Mike take one of Plus Eight bodied prototypes up Shelsley Walsh hillclimb for the last club meeting of the year.   The prototype Aero 8 outside Hartlebury Garage
Mike prepares to accelerate away up the hill   The prototype which we were lent looks like an oversize Plus Eight but beneath the familiar exterior this car is pure Aero8. The car has covered an enormous road mileage by way of proving the running gear, yet apart from the expected wear and tear to the body, was as smooth and solid as we had been led to believe that the Aero8 would be.
Rain on Sunday meant that the polished chassis which we had been lent stayed at home in the dry. The Geneva show car stayed under a small canopy at the top of the car park where it was much admired by all comers of both Morgan and non-Morgan persuasion. Other Morgans on display included the beautiful Supersports Plus Four of John Worrall, an early Plus Eight, a current type four/four and the Plus Eight of Kevin Vernon from Tudor Motor Bodies in Market Drayton.

We are proud to be able to take orders for the Aero8 and will be offering test drives early next year.
